International Glass Company

• This e-commerce website has a custom shopping cart that supports shipping charge calculations, different ways to buy, checking for availability of inventory, counting items in currently active shopping carts against inventory, and updating inventory for completed purchases.
• The website owner can input many different kinds of discounts, which automatically stop being displayed and applied on their expiration dates, and are automatically shown on the Specials page while they are in effect.
• A website visitor can choose which of several slide shows to view. The slide shows include a number of nice features.
• This website includes a contact form that a website visitor can use to send an email to the website owner.

Downtown Doggie

• This e-commerce website is similar in functionality to International Glass Company. It does not include slide shows.

Windward Performance

• This website includes a choice of several slide shows, like International Glass Company.
• It includes videos.
• It introduces a new, more flexible paradigm for the free-form sections of the website pages. The new features include optional subheadings, any number of optional images in such a section rather than one, and flexible placement of such images.
• The website owner can add and delete pages and change the order of the pages.

Pediatric Heart Center of Central Oregon

• This website includes a two-level navigation scheme.
• The website owner can upload and delete the PDF form files that are linked to in the New Patients page, in addition to the usual ability to upload and delete image files.

The Seasonal Chef

• The graphic design of the website is based on a painting done by the website owner's wife.
• This website includes a full-featured slide show like those for International Glass Company and Windward Performance.

Habitat for Humanity of Oregon

• A website visitor can make a donation using a credit card or a PayPal account.
• There is a sound effect when a website visitor moves the cursor over or off of a link in the navigation bar if the site visitor's browser is Internet Explorer.

Stott Shots Photography and High Angle Photo

• I built Stott Shots Photography (SSP) first, and later used that website as a template for High Angle Photo (HAP).
• I created the initial gateway page and the Portfolio website, but not the Client (SSP) or Purchase Photos (HAP) websites.
• The Portfolio website is programmed entirely in Flash, which is typically used just for animating small parts of websites.
• A website visitor sees the content area of the Portfolio website in one of three possible sizes, depending on the size of the website visitor's monitor, if the Portfolio site is reached by the broadband connection link. The smallest size is shown if it is reached by the dial-up connection link, to minimize download time.
• The gateway page and the Portfolio site have animated introductions.
• The Portfolio website includes slide shows.
• The Portfolio website includes a contact form that a website visitor can use to send an email to the website owner.

Liquid Rock Concrete

• This website is very basic, as the only purposes are to show contact information and a slide show of sample work. The slide show is like those for International Glass Company, Windward Performance, and The Seasonal Chef.

Royal Exchange Ranch

• This site is rather basic, but it has sold a lot of sheep.
• The home page contains some animation in the form of image fade-outs/fade-ins.

Central Oregon Employee Benefits

• This site has an animated banner.
• There is a neat visual effect when a site visitor moves the cursor over a link in the navigation bar if the site visitor's browser is Internet Explorer; otherwise the site visitor will see a basic effect.
• This website includes artwork that looks like etchings but was created by manipulating photos.
• The website includes a contact form that a website visitor can use to send an email to the website owner.

Affordable Deschutes Shuttle

• The database-driven features of this website include the markers on the map, which the website owner can be add to, remov, or reposition.
• This website includes a contact form that a website visitor can use to send an email to the website owner. The form includes fairly sophisticated data validation and inputs (try playing around with the date inputs).

Adam Bright Tree Service

• Each photo in the website is a link to a larger version of the same photo.

The Drop

• This website was built for a rock band based in Los Angeles that no longer exists. As a result, the website no longer exists, and thus the image of its banner below is not a link.
• This website, like the Stott Shots Photography and High Angle Photo Portfolio websites, was programmed entirely in Flash.
• This website had some nice features that to date I have not had opportunity to include in any other websites, primarily a music player and scrollable lyrics; that is why I mention it here.

Barbara Tyler

• This is just the beginnings of a website - I was building it for a friend before she took on a partner who already had a webmaster.
• I include it here anyway because I particularly like some of what I had done.
• This website has an animated banner. It could be adapted for your site if you like it, since it is not being used in a real website. The colors could of course be changed; my friend does not like the color blue!
